OUR ACTIVITIES
Programme
We wanted to give our range of Residents more choice and options to take part in to appeal to varying needs and wishes - we are developing ideas all the time so watch this space!
A maturing lifestyle should not be a barrier to learning, social activity and enjoying the finer things in life and Penpergwm House strives for a Home that gives each of our Residents a true feeling of home and the potential to take part in a myriad of activities if they so choose…respecting both their own personal history as well as keeping up with the future.
We have a wonderful, weekly programme of activities available and are rather proud of our reputation in this area. Our ethos is to consistently provide lifelong-learning opportunities and entertaining events to appeal to all our clients, fully appreciating that it is never too late to experience, enjoy or learn something new.
Our activities team are deeply focused on including meaningful and varied past times throughout the whole 7 day week at Penpergwm with an endless list of activities to choose:- from watercolour class, knitting club to having your nails done, through to wine tastings, talks, recitals and guest speakers on a wide number of topics and genres of music. You will be sure to find something during the week that you will not only enjoy but that will enhance you day.
Weekly trips out to a variety of places such as the theatre, tea dances, country gardens, local pubs, churches and museums are also a vital part of life at Penpergwm House, where we want to support you to continue to live a life that you would normally.
Our program is updated weekly and clearly demonstrate an understanding and inclusion of the needs of all our clients. We have an Events Studio, Garden Room and Drawing Room that allows the perfect range of space and facility to accommodate anything we need. An inter-denominational service is held on a regular basis, to which residents of all faiths are welcome, and weekly
church visits are also arranged. The mobile library calls on a three-weekly basis and a good and varied library of books and journals is available within the Home.
Our studio has an 84” Ultra HD LED Screen with surround sound to entertain our residents and clients with endless different media opportunities.
We have a mini-bus with wheelchair access available for weekly outings, and there is a mobility car available to transport residents to appointments if required.
