A Right Royal Knees Up!

The Royal Wedding

The atmosphere was electric this morning within Penpergwm, the residents were in jovial spirits and adorned with outfits of red, white & blue, much deliberation and wardrobe changes occur before the wedding service. with personal invitations dispensed with  details of the day’s festivities.

With our celebrations set to start at 11.30am, we had a few residents arrive at 10.30am, May said “she wanted to see everyone arriving and their outfits” !

Canapes and refreshments were served during the service & every seat was taken. Followed by the Oooh’s and Ahh’s about Megan’s dress and the bridesmaids,  a box of hankies were also passed around. ”Oh I do love a good wedding” said Peggy .A rapacious round of applauds when they were pronounced man and wife, followed by 3 cheers for the bride and groom & a glass of sherry to toast.

After the carriage ride through Winsor, we went to have our own royal feast, the tables were adorned with red, white and blue floral arrangements, napkins, flags and individual royal favours, even down to the confetti with “ Just Married” on it. With a lovely, mouth-watering  BBQ provided by our skilled catering team.

Then followed by a late afternoon tea, @ 6pm consisting of pastries, sandwiches and cakes and of course a glass of pimms to round the day off!

What a memorable day, everyone really enjoyed the day and for the men it was rounded off with the FA cup!!!
